One of Portland's top agencies is looking to add a Production Manager to their team! Great opportunity to join a forward thinking company in a great new position.

The successful candidate is a leader and seasoned manager for both people and projects. You are known for your attention to detail and organization skills. You also thrive on solving problems, wrangling designers and avoiding drama.

You?ll mentor and direct the existing team of project managers, as well as manage complex and high profile client projects. a calm but forceful demeanor (Gandhi meets Jillian Michaels) is required as you?ll be responsible for on-time, on-budget, high-quality production across the agency.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successfully handle the accountabilities of a Senior Project Manager, including scoping & estimating, scheduling, managing budgets.
  • Manage complex clients and projects: from strategy to digital to retail review Project Manager?s SOWs: provide feedback on estimates, timelines and resource allocation.
  • Be the liaison between the Production and Design departments ensuring continuity and accuracy of projects; understand that creative rules the day.
  • Partner with the creative lead to effectively present and defend all creative work/proposals to clients
  • Supervise direct reports: help set performance goals, manage workflow, encourage growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the director of Business operations on improving agency processes to enhance company operations and foster creative innovation.


  • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6+ years in Project Management with increasing responsibility at the Senior Project Manager level, preferably at a creative agency.
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing and advertising campaigns including brand strategy, print, digital, retail and photo components.
  • Extensive client-facing exposure; ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Staff management and talent development skills, including training and mentoring junior employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to produce great work with a strong focus on collaboration.
  • Strong financial negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, free-spirited, borderline chaotic, occasionally obnoxious, stress-inducing environment.


  • Knowledgeable in outdoor lifestyle brands preferred.
