TITLE: Associate Production Manager


1. Vendor Management
• Partner with merchandising prior to alignment meetings to discuss any new Licensing strategies/growth opportunities and recommend production opportunities to support the proposed strategy and financial plans.
• Help on-board new vendors to ensure they are clear on company testing protocols, shipping requirements, invoicing, etc.
• Partner with manager to evaluate vendors for quality, costing, delivery, communication, and innovation twice a year.
• Partner with manager to create a yearly forecast for licensing vendors. Each season, create hindsight and actualize previous placement, in order to determine if the annual forecast needs to be adjusted.
• Develop strong relationships with Licensees and ensure they are linked to the best production facilities to support their needs.

2. Production Management
• Roll out P2M seasonal calendars to all vendors and ensure there are no issues with the timelines.
• Work with merchant prior to alignment to determine which styles need to be early booked, and communicate all early books to cross functional team. Ensure that costing is finalized for all early book styles prior to booking date, and provide samples to merchants when possible.
• Manage costing process to achieve financial goals and cost of goods (COGs) goals.
• Assist manager in placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement plan for chase.
• Confirm placement with vendors and finalize costing prior to sending final booking ACTs.
• Pass off final booking ACTs to Production Specialist with complete details for PO creation.
• Maintain & update ACT with all costing, vendor, COO, PF information
• Hold weekly calls with top 4 vendors to review WIP reports and discuss any production or delivery issues.
• Manage production timelines, review reports and recommend solutions to exceptions.
• Meet with Production Specialist weekly and communicate any changes to POs (ship/cxl dates, costs etc.) to so POs can be updated and re-transmitted.
• Ensure product integrity by reviewing any necessary styles with PI team, sending test requirements to vendors, and analyzing failed test reports. Make recommendations to manager and communicate exceptions to vendors and cross-functional team.
• Complete other projects as needed and as time permits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Manufacturing, trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity, production cycle timeline, fabric and garment construction.
• Cross-functional interdependencies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong follow through; organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to respond to shifting needs and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills.
• Use of retail math needed to determine costs and margins.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
• Ability to manage independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to solicit feedback for self development.

2.) Minimum education level:
• College degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience with apparel production management
