Production Designer w/ Acct Exec experience

Aquent's client has a great opportunity for a designer who likes the marketing coordinator / Account Exec / PM / Traffic aspects of shepherding a project through the full design/delivery process! This person needs to be skilled in all aspects of graphic design, but must also have some experience coordinating projects, and dealing directly with clients.

The ideal candidate is a designer who has probably worked in small in-house agency or small design firm. He/she should be able to quickly cultivate and then maintain a good working relationship with their internal client, and strive for a high level of client satisfaction, while working within established brand boundaries. This role will be based within the in-house client locations, and will take work assignments directly from the in-house client (i.e. within the marketing team dedicated to supporting products for a specific customer of the client….).

For the Design aspect of the role:
Uses knowledge of current graphic design software in the production of collateral, presentations, display and advertising projects. Works directly with the assigned client. Generates and manipulates graphic elements, images, charts and text into consolidated advertising and presentation outputs. Typical duties include document layout and production, pre–flight formatting, collecting, processing, checking and uploading files.

For the Account Exec/PMelements of the role:
Coordinate/manage the relationship between the corporate design team and the in-house client, to include project accountability and partnering with business ownership to meet objectives, deadlines and workload. Build and maintain solid partnerships with marketing in support of the development and implementation of deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate has experience at an in-house agency or design firm environment where you might wear dual hats as a designer and traffic/PM. He/She must be adept in using multiple software applications such as CS4: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, MS Office (incl. PowerPoint) and Acrobat. Must have solid knowledge of printing and production processes, a keen attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills. HTML, Flash and/or other multi-media would be a plus.

You should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with solid listening and consultative & partnership capabilities and be highly organized and detail-oriented.
