Production Designer (off-Air) Brand Creative-Comedy Central

The Production Designer plays a key role in the supporting The Technical Design Director and Brand Creative’s Out-Of-Home (OOH), print and post-production operations. The role is collaborative and deadline-focused, requiring detail-oriented, hands-on creation and delivery of assets to a wide range of departments, media outlets, printers, and intermediaries. They are responsible for maintaining efficient workflows with project management and the design team, and assist in the key art production process through tactical implementation and asset delivery.

SKILLS: Requirements for this position include:

• Must have impeccable attention to detail and a mastery of print / digital production processes

• Motivated and self-driven, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with composure

• Technical and creative problem solving skills, with a focus on developing and improving workflows and establishing best-practices

• Must have strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with Designers, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Project Managers, Writer / Producers, and Executives.

• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Cloud tools

• Experience in After Effects, Cinema 4d, as well as HTML & CSS a plus

• Expertise in presentations programs such as PowerPoint and Keynote

• Experience in all traditional business application software, such as Microsoft Office

• Advanced image manipulation and retouching skills, including color management and correction

• Extensive knowledge of offset and digital printing processes, technologies, and technical issues in prepress and production of print-ready assets

• Expert knowledge of digital platforms standards, best-practices, and deliverables requirements (Web Advertising, Download-to-Own, and On-Demand & Syndication)

• Expert knowledge of various methods of production of non-standard materials such as premiums

• The technical expertise to effectively communicate with developers, IT, technical support staff, and outside vendors.


• BA or greater in Production Design, Advertising, Publishing or equivalent.

• Candidates should have 5+ years of production experience for both print and digital media.

• Experience in Broadcast, Advertising Agency or Commercial Production environments preferred.

• Experience working with cross-department teams a plus.
