Production Designer Opportunity with Leader in Wearable Digital Cameras on a Contracting Basis!

We’re looking for a top tier candidate for a Software UX/UI Production Designer role, who will want to make it easier for millions of users to share their stories. This UX/UI Product Designer will help shape the look and feel of our client’s mobile, web and desktop apps by contributing in creating assets, delivering style guidelines, documentation and most importantly overseeing designs are built to the highest quality. This position will be based in their San Diego office and will report into a Senior UX/UI Designer in San Diego.

You’ll join our client’s hard-working, ultra-collaborative Software + Services UX/UI Team and work side-by-side with other UX/UI designers as well as front-end engineers. You will also be working within a larger x-functional group comprised of researchers, product managers and software engineers. This is a great role for a fastidious and speedy production designer with a strong grasp of design, great problem solving skills that can solidify the bridge between design and engineering by ensuring all cutting edge design treatments are executable. Relationship building and communication will be an essential ingredient to success.


Deliver highest-quality digital assets for designs that range across multiple devices
Translate designs into assets, organize them, and communicate them in a way that they can be visually referenced and integrated by UX and engineering teams.
Implement working processes for asset production as well as methods for efficiency and communication.
Under direction of other UX Designers, lead small to medium visual design projects from start to completion
Ensure projects are on time and delivered with a high caliber of quality and function
Work cross functionally with other internal teams such as UX designers and developers
Research new trends and have a solid understanding of UX best practices and process as well as Responsive Design and Front-end Engineering

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Advanced degree and certifications in applicable fields a plus.
2-5 years in a print or digital production role. Agency and/or global experience is a bonus.
Expert knowledge of Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Intimate understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript
A compelling and engaging portfolio that demonstrates out of the box thinking, clean design with technical know-how
Solid understanding of the nuances between desktop, mobile and web platforms.
Self-starter who takes initiative to keep the project moving, even without complete information
Ability to adapt and change focus or direction without issue and with an understanding that business priorities change
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work closely with creative, technical, and business stakeholders
