Production Designer

As a Graphic Designer, your role requires the ability to routinely provide graphic design support to the Marketing Services team in support of corporate business units, including: tradeshows, external/internal corporate events, technical publications, marketing programs collateral, corporate communications, product launches, and other Marketing Services projects. Be able to meet tight and changing deadlines while maintaining a great attitude and positive outlook. Production and Operations (75%) Design and Graphics (25%)

Support of design projects as needed for marketing and promotional collateral such as flyers, posters, brochures, banners, product packaging, sales tools, promotional items, and other advertising material as required

Optimize and format PowerPoint presentations, including animation
Create and/or update product packaging, stickers, and labels

Support projects as necessary, including transferring data files, searching for stock photos/art, internet research, and general administration
Revise and/or update existing collateral, projects, and images
Format collaterals in templates
Photo optimization and clean-up
Organize and maintain image and digital asset library

Attend and participate in meetings as required

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
Ability to be a self-starter, identifying problems and raise issues accordingly
Ability to understand and work within our Corporate Brand Guidelines

Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams, with capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and quickly
Excellent organizational and communication skills, combined with an impeccable attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
Stays current with print design, production, and technology skills

Scientific background and/or understanding of biology and genetics helpful

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
Minimum 1 year relevant experience
Must have formal production training and a general understanding in illustration, graphic design, typography, communications and graphic media.

Demonstrated excellence on both MAC and PC platforms.
Advance knowledge in applications including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat ) and Microsoft Office
Good knowledge of concept, layout, typography, color, and branding
Good knowledge of production techniques including printing, paper and materials
Comfortable working with vendors on bidding, managing and tracking jobs
