Our healthcare client is looking for a production designer.

Major accountabilities:

•Conceptualize and design brand and marketing communications (small to medium scope and low to moderate complexity), always keeping in mind the objectives of the assignment and the needs and requirements of the audience.
•Communicate as necessary with traffic, supervisor or project manager to eliminate and prevent errors and problems
•Serve as department production for multimedia, digital resource. Help execute on development of Web sites, e-communications, etc. Continue development of electronic knowledge as technologies rapidly change.
•Keep up-to-date on software, social media, printing techniques, Web technology, paper stocks, electronic pre-press and digital media in order to prepare clear, clean, cost-effective solutions.
•Maintain proficiency in design, layout, and multimedia computer technology in order to recommend new software and hardware purchases that will enable department to produce quality publications more quickly and economically.
•Maintain hardware and software, and troubleshoot problems. Apply color management in use of large format color printers to produce high-end, cost-effective output.
•Maintain technical quality of all images, managing resolution and file type requirements for various output (including press media, PDFs, Web, and end-process color output).
•Establish priorities for production of projects to ensure delivery according to schedules and deadlines.
•Prepare files for printers, other vendors, and electronic uploads.
•Actively support social media with creating and formatting of content.


•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML, CSS.
•Five years experience in a design firm, in-house corporate or advertising
•Demonstrated ability to create diverse collateral for a variety of audiences.
•Experience with online and social media.
•Thorough understanding of photographic processes, pre-press technologies, printing and bindery operations, Web technology, and mail house services
•Working knowledge of portable document format (PDF) technologies, file transfer, and compression options
