Production Designer

We seek a designer with an extremely strong foundation in design principles such as typography, layout, color theory, and grids. You should have impeccable taste, thorough attention to detail, and an ability to communicate meaning through design – not just make something “pretty.” You are able to professionally respond to feedback, and you thrive in a highly collaborative and iterative product environment.

The position entails:

•Working closely with creative leadership, market and e-commerce partners to define design strategy for online advertising placements, landing pages, email campaigns and other opportunities
•Maintaining and evolving design standards documentation in accordance with the Origin style guidelines
•Designing promotional and other marketing or sales-focused graphics, often under tight deadlines
•Soliciting feedback from design and marketing stakeholders and iterating as needed
•Cutting PSDs and delivering precise, polished files to engineering
•“Heavy lifting” – accurate and quick graphic production and batch processing
•Managing multiple concurrent design tracks

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•3+ years experience creating online ad campaigns and other marketing/merchandising graphics
•Experience creating and extending design documentation and style guideline materials
•Impeccable sensitivity to design fundamentals such as grid, color theory, typography, priority and balance
•Fluent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools
•Comprehension of usability and user experience design best practices
•Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
•Ability to work faithfully to existing visual style guidelines
•Passion for gaming is a plus
