Production Coordinator

A Vitamin T client located in Potomac, MD is in need of a production coordinator to join their team. This person will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the flow of projects within their busy advertising and marketing department as each project transitions throughout the life-cycle of a job. The best candidate will be extremely detail oriented, have the ability to multitask, have a positive attitude, and a flexible team-oriented approach to working with others in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
AD CONTENT/TRAFFICKING
• Maintain constant communication with promotions analysts to ensure ad content is clear and complete at turn in and throughout the entire production process.
• Responsible for the InDesign versioning of print advertising specific to market variations in each applicable state.
• Proofreading all ads and pre-prints for accuracy in pricing, reviews, and product photography.
• Develop and maintain a positive and comprehensive relationship with all team members, including but not limited to, peers in advertising and the purchasing departments.

REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE
3+ years traffic experience within a high volume advertising or communications agency, graphic design firm, or 1-2+ years related experience in retail advertising production or trafficking.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or related field, or 2+ years of directly related experience in retail advertising production or trafficking.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Detail-oriented, proactive and organized, with the ability to multi-task, traffic and re-prioritize projects
• Understands deadlines and works with a sense of urgency
• Excellent customer service and communications skills
• Must be a confident, self-directed team player with strong relationship building skills
• Must have strong proofing and editing skills
• Strong knowledge of creative process including design, copy, and print production
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs -- especially InDesign

• Sales promotion background
• Proofing expertise
