Production Assistant

Responsible for assisting in production planning, order placement, and tracking deliveries. Organizes fact sheets. Responsible for purchase order entry process. May compile all information needed for customs line review. May communicate with vendors on status of pre-production and in-line production products. Works under close direction and handles issues of fairly basic complexity. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.

Key Skills: • Knowledge of the basics of garment or accessories Production (manufacturing) , or can have merchandising or design background as well • Basic Computer skills (Outlook / Word / Excel / PPT) • Effectively communicate in written and verbal form • Detail oriented with strong follow through; Organize and prioritize multiple projects • Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks • Good in working with teams • Ability to react to change • Solicit feedback/self-development • Make effective presentations • 4 Year Bachelor Degree preferred • 1-2 Years Production experience would be ideal, but just intro experience is ok as well.

Daily Tasks – First 3 months: SAMPLE MANAGEMENT: 15 hrs per week (3 hrs per day) - Check in all Fit Samples - Pull / put back all “last” fit samples for fitting. - Check in all TOP Samples - Maintain Fall & Holiday rack organization - Manage organization of MPR samples by Vendor for Production team. TRACKING: 10 hrs per week (2 hrs per day) - All shipment tracking for Fall ’12 season. - Notifying the production team for any late shipments. - Managing/maintaining the Fit Tracking document - Managing/maintaining the TOP tracking document - Printing all last fit comments for Fit tech & Fit binder. FILING: 10 hrs per week (2 hrs per day) - Managing & maintaining the organization of all Season Binders by vendor, by style (ensuring labels are correct, all submits, all pictures etc) - Filing all submits approved by the merchants in the appropriate binders ASSORTMENT SHEET UPDATING: 5 hrs per week (1 hr per day) - Updating all past Assortment sheets with the correct Totals (IMU, AIR, AUC) - Inserting all last fit photo’s into AS (merchants also use these pics for guest editor binder) - Updating “Shipment Tracking column” - Updating the “TOP” column - Inserting all approved submit pics in AS.
