Production Artist

As Production Artist, you’ll team up with designers in the graphic production of deliverables in a variety of media, including digital and print. This is a production-level (non-design) position. Work will include: translating design specifications into deliverables, integrating text and graphics, creating and editing complex templates with speed and accuracy, and preparing/finalizing files for printing/copying or hosting on web servers. You will work independently and could possibly lead project teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take concepts and develop final layouts and production art
• Demonstrate photo and/or image manipulation skills, resizing and cropping as needed
• Place graphics and text, using master pages and style sheets, standard electronic file management/archiving and troubleshooting
• Apply advanced knowledge of layout, type, color, tracking, kerning and leading
• Apply advanced knowledge of firm brand/strategy to create branded templates
• Incorporate revisions, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and perform mail merge functions
• Demonstrate effective project management, including preparing estimates/timelines/budget, on-time deliverables and resource allocation
• Prepare files for print/electronic delivery; effectively handle broker (internal/external) and vendor requests
• Demonstrate flexibility to work with multiple projects and customers simultaneously
• Must be able to work significant overtime as requested, often on a last-minute basis, and alter hours as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Advanced skills with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat
• Highly skilled at layout development, file manipulation, scanning, retouching, typography and use of color
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to create/edit template-based multimedia content, including HTML, JavaScript, and interactive email content
• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills on a local, national and global level
• Demonstrate speed with exceptional attention to detail and quality

QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5-6+ years related experience
• Experience in graphics/multimedia industry
• Background in Accounting/Finance industry preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Potential temporary to hire opportunity
• Mainly a PC environment
• Working on-site in Atlanta, GA
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed (Regular hours could be from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST)
