Production Artist & Desktop Publisher

Our large investment client in the Back Bay is looking for a Production Artist & Desktop Publisher for a long-term contract assignment. The position is slated to start at 3-month contract and potentially extend out from there. The hourly rate for this role is $30/hr, it’s full-time, and onsite.

As a key member of the Global Publishing & Presentation Services Team, participates in creating and updating presentation materials, fact sheets and/or brochures for a broad range of sales, consultant, and relationship management clients' on a global basis.


1. Works with Desktop Project Leader and/or other team members to update, revise, reformat, and proofread quarterly reports, presentations and other client and/or marketing deliverables. May be produced in multiple syntax and currencies for global distribution. Deliver and upload pdfs; manage electronic and
hardcopy files; Collect files for output and upload to translation vendors, etc.

2. Performs copy/document edits using Quark / Deltagraph and/or InDesign / Illustrator on a Macintosh platform.

3. Interact with a variety of groups across the company, including Marketing Communications, Relationship Management, Sales, and Product Management.

4. Ensures materials are timely, available and deadlines are met.

5. Prioritizes multiple projects/deliverables with competing deadlines on a daily basis.


1. Proficient on Macintosh OS and some type of publishing software including Quark, InDesign and/or PowerPoint. Familiarity using Deltagraph or other charting tools such as Illustrator or Excel required.

2. Strong attention to detail and ability to self proof. Ability to manage individual projects and problem solve when issues or questions arise.

3. High level of comfort dealing with numbers. Understanding of financial data and terms a plus. Ability to use some level of logic in applying financial data to documents.

4. Some PC experience/familiarity is required (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook).

5. Familiarity with databases and associated workflows a plus.

6. Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment preferred.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Able to work collaboratively and independently.
