Production Artist Description

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Artist will execute tactical design projects, implement text/content changes, and prepare files to be released for production. They will assist the in-house design team in the production of InDesign documents, based on client and editorial edits in marked-up PDFs.

The ability to work efficiently and accurately, adhere to varied client branding standards, and make appropriate decisions regarding design/production best practices is essential.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a production artist or in a related role

Extremely proficient in InDesign and Acrobat with a strong foundation in the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Word, PPT, and Excel

Solid understanding of production fundamentals related to master pages, layers, grids, style sheets, color palettes, etc.

Thorough understanding of print production and the workflow processes

Must be able to acclimate quickly to an online workflow system

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Previous experience in HTML and email is a plus

Position is on-site, 40hrs per week, and a MAC workstation will be provided.

Consultant will be focused on PRINT Work
September-December TEMP Only
Will work with 2 other production artists
