Product Owner

Our client is looking for a product owner to join their Digital Product Development department.

The Product Owner manages and grooms a backlog of requirements specific to an online product. This role manages the set of requirements that make up the backlog and works cross-functionally in order to prioritize the backlog for consumption by the Scrum Team. The Product Owner also develops user-stories focusing on the specific value that is to be driven to the customer. From there, the Product Owner communicates the user-stories to the members of the Scrum Team to align expectations on what needs to be developed. Additionally, the Product Owner is responsible for developing specific acceptance criteria against which the team will evaluate success. The Product Owner is full member within the Scrum Team and is expected to perform as such in all aspects of team success.

The Product Owner will work closely with the Head of Product Development to determine the overall vision for the developed solution to ensure that the individual requirements/stories represent the total set of requirements for the project. In addition, the Product Owner will work with the Head of Product Development and other elements of the business to prioritize the backlog in order of relevance.

The Product Owner participates in a team to build products from existing ideas, and helps to develop new ideas based on industry experience and feedback from customers and prospects. In pursuit of this goal, the Product Owner must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. It is essential that the Product Owner enjoys spending time in the market to understand the business problems of the customer and to find innovative solutions for the broader market. Leadership within teams is collaborative in nature. It is the Product Owner's responsibility to constantly promote ideas and directions via substantive, fact-based decisions that are able to be communicated in a clear, concise and consistent message to stakeholders and Scrum Team members.

Job Requirements

• + 3 years of product owner experience in an E-commerce environment
• Experience with E-commerce Product Development
• Knowledge of market conditions to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects
• Scrum Alliance or ,Product Owner and/or ScrumMaster certification would be highly desirable
• Exceptional Communication skills
