Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you will gather, analyze, refine, and document requirements and acceptance criteria related to user stories. You will take the vision, ideas, strategy, and priorities provided by the Product Managers and prepare the work so that it can be sized, planned, executed, and delivered. You will ensure the timely availability of information and assist in long range planning.

You will work in collaboration with the business units, Product Managers, and team members to ensure that requested features align with the product’s business goals. You will pursue the delivery of high quality business value for our customers and sponsors.

You will be a quality consultant to the delivery team in support of both automated and manual testing needs. You will assess system impacts and the need for both functional and system tests. The Product Owner’s key role is tactical, in support of the strategic vision set by the Product Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

• Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and all levels of management
• Lead delivery team in the execution of the product vision representing the voice of the customer
• Make daily tradeoff decisions to ensure optimal customer experience is executed
• Participate in the demonstration of new features to stakeholders
• Gather and maintain requirements for system enhancements as defined by Product Management
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues during development and testing to ensure high quality results
• Craft clear requirements complete with Acceptance Criteria
• Lead requirement refinement and estimation sessions
• Assist with the controls to manage delivery team metrics
• Test newly developed functionality on an as-needed basis
• Function as a quality consultant to the delivery team advising on automated testing and manual testing needs
• Manage change effectively while working on multiple issues/items concurrently
• Actively seek to apply and improve Product Owner skills and best practices
• Provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to other Product Owners
• Provide vendor management oversight as needed
• Provide project leadership and coordination on large initiative
• Support production problems, on-call staffing, and emergency situations
• Embody the organization spirit and conduct oneself with Professionalism, Integrity, Resourcefulness and Caring
