Product Marketing Manager

Our Fortune 500 client in the payment technology space is looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to help drive awareness and adoption of their Developer Program.This role involves communication and interacting intelligently around products and their market dynamics around e-commerce and mobile commerce. Position Description
This individual should be analytical, strategic and have strong planning, writing and project management skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has deep product marketing experience, including launching products and programs, leading market research studies, developing positioning, messaging, and target segmentation profiles, and leading a variety of cross-functional marketing initiatives, as well as crafting marketing content.

He/she should have a “can do”, positive attitude with a proven ability to lead projects and influence across functional areas. The individual must be strong communicator who functions well in a highly-matrixed environment.

Responsibilities
• Support development of the developer program marketing strategy and tactical plans, including presentation/communication materials.
• Lead and manage the execution of specific developer marketing initiatives, including web and social content development, digital campaigns across social media and advertising channels, event hosting, conference sponsorships, webinars/trainings, and internal education/evangelism.
• Strategize and lead research initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of Developer program target segmentation, including persona development, social listening, and user feedback studies.
• Create positioning, messaging and marketing content to engage the developer audience and drive thought-leadership within the broader developer community.
• Create marketing toolkits that ensure consistency of developer positioning/messaging across marketing and sales materials and support internal stakeholders.
• Manage external agency partners, project budgets and ensure on-plan delivery.
• Manage relationships across the global community with Product Marketing, Market Research, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications and Product Development to ensure cohesive/consistent implementation of developer marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills
• 10+ years marketing experience, including a minimum of 5+ years digital experience.
• Expertise across multiple marketing channels such as product marketing, web/mobile content, offline/online events, and social media.
• Deep experience developing program positioning, messaging, and segmentation.
• Demonstrated ability to strategize and direct market research and user feedback initiatives.
• Excellent writing skills (lots of content to write in this role).
• Strong teamwork, relationship-building skills and experience in leading through influence.
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to drive consensus in cross functional teams.
• Experience in managing external agency partners including developing creative briefs and creative assets.
• Developer marketing, engagement or developer relations experience desirable but not required.
• BA or BS degree; advanced degree a plus.
