Product Marketing Manager

Our client, the world’s largest dedicated security technology company, is looking for a Product Marketing Manager

This strategic position is part of the product marketing team for the largest revenue generator in the company, which is entering new markets for expanded growth. Responsibilities include outbound solution marketing activities spanning go-to-market planning and execution, positioning/messaging, sales/channel enablement, pricing/packaging and solution evangelism as well as high-level competitive analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic marketing direction: Evaluate market opportunities, select target segments, establish value proposition/messaging, competitive positioning.
• Go-to-market: Analyze existing and potential routes to market and recommend successful strategies for maximizing revenues across the Company product portfolio. Provide guidance on key features necessary to enter new markets and/or penetrate existing markets.
• Positioning & messaging: Create innovative and powerful solution messaging that differentiates the Company from point-product vendors. Synthesize multiple discrete messages into higher-level themes and represent these concepts to both business and technical buyers.
• Sales tools: Work with Marketing Communications and regional marketing teams around the world to develop sales enablement tools.
• Solution launches: Work across functional groups to plan the launch of solution initiatives.
• Pricing/Packaging: Research and make recommendations on pricing and packaging.
• Product evangelism: Communicate product/solution messaging to customers, prospects, analysts, journalists, other market influencers.
• Competitive Analysis: Closely monitor marketplace for competitive moves and work with the technical marketing team and competitive analyst team to deliver appropriate material.
• Market research: Utilize both secondary and primary research tools to understand customer segmentation and customer buying processes

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
• Minimum 5 years experience in technology product & solution marketing
• Preference is candidate with domain experience in Security software marketing
• Experience marketing to medium and large-enterprise segments and enterprise focused VARs (value-added resellers)
• Ability to travel (approximately 10-20%)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or technical discipline

ADDITIONAL INFO
• This is a 12 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in Santa Clara, CA or Beaverton, OR
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
• This position is eligible for full benefits including a low premium, zero-deductible health care plan, 401(k) plan,
