Product Marketing Development Manager II

Our client is very established in the automotive industry. We are looking to bring onboard a temp to hire manager resource for the Product Marketing Development Team.

This position is responsible for the development of Commercial product marketing strategies including the measurement, design and enhancement of current offerings. This position requires a creative approach to ensure that our client consistently delivers best in class and innovative products. These products are to deliver on our client's value proposition to support of their sales. The position will also be responsible for the review, analysis, tracking and management of Commercial retention, acquisition, and product metrics. The position will require coordination with our client's Commercial Credit, Sales, Risk, Finance and other teams within Marketing.

Essential functions of the position:

1. Product Marketing Development:
• Creative ‘Out of the Box’ approach to client products and offerings
• Look for opportunities to set best in class product enhancement and features
• Analyze and review market requirements, competitive landscape, dealer insights, dealer feedback, and communication channels
• Proven ability to benchmark within industry and outside of industry to develop enhanced offerings within the company
• Partner with other departments to deploy innovative product and program offerings
• Support the development of financial viability (RoA, RoI, Lifetime Value, Incrementality) of product and program offerings including Cost / Benefit Analysis
• Develop business case and executive proposals
• Develop metrics / tools to assess the effectiveness of product enhancements and information to help develop future solutions
• Provide support for the launch and execution of product enhancements and/or marketing campaigns (as needed)

2. Commercial Product Retention & Acquisition Strategy Support:
• Develop and support strategies that will enable the client to best retain and acquire Commercial credit accounts and grow Commercial Vehicle Financing product
• Develop and support strategy, tools and processes to track and measure Commercial credit retention and acquisitions
• Leverage dealer insights, analytics and segmentation to increase dealer retention and acquisition targets
• Work with other departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to ensure alignment in dealer retention and acquisition strategies and dealer experience

3. Lead Commercial Product Marketing Campaign Performance Reporting and Analysis
• Lead a team in the development of Commercial dealer campaign performance reporting and tracking
• Deliver and interpret Commercial marketing campaign KPIs
• Help define, establish, and measure business objectives
• Identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements
• Tracking and project management of the development of tools/process improvements
• Lead team in the monthly and ad hoc reporting of Commercial product marketing campaign metrics (reporting to Commercial Credit/Sales/Marketing)
6. Other duties as assigned


Secondary functions of the position:
Demonstrated analytical ability
Demonstrated ability for creative thinking as related to financial services products; marketing offerings
Ability to independently manage multiple projects
Highly proficient with MS Excel, MS Power Point, Reporting tools
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Executive presentation and business case development skills
Excellent quantitative skills to conduct financial analysis of product and marketing offerings


Education and Experience:
College Graduate required – MBA preferred
Prior auto finance industry experience preferred
Previous experience in finance or marketing preferred
Previous experience in commercial financing/product required
Effective leadership and management qualities
Data analysis and reporting skills required
