Product Marketing Associate

The Product Marketing Associate is responsible for the product lifecycle from conception to obsolescence.


Nature & Scope:
- Establish the scope of the product offering in terms of price points, features and benefits within the context of the brand strategy and competitive set. Proactively evolve the product offering in light of business trends including consumer, customer and manufacturing.

- Ensure financial targets are met through the conception/prioritization of new product development, product management and value engineering initiatives. Serve a key role as liaison between Sales/customers and NPD teams.


Principal Accountabilities:
• Help manage the Wholesale product line, balancing between expansion, obsolescence, cost reductions and pricing for established product lines.

• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

• Understand the changing competitive landscape through continual market analysis

• Manage new product development efforts of Wholesale Product Line with cross-functional New Product Development teams.

• Coordinate with Brand/Channel Marketing to effectively develop and communicate product advancements to the market.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in a business or engineering-related field (advanced degree (MBA) desirable) and 3 or more years of practical marketing/product development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in building products and channels are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required. Successful candidate will possess demonstrated project management skills, highly developed communication skills and solid design-sense. Demonstrated ability to objectively analyze data is required. Must be able to excel in a team environment and have a well-developed understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
