6 month role starting December 1st with possibility of going to one year!
We have an immediate need for a detail-oriented, product developer to oversee the global exclusives product development process and line planning activities. In this critical role, you will partner with cross-functional teams (design & development, packaging, engineering, demand planning, costing) on all phases of product development. As such, the successful candidate will need to be a proactive, collaborative, and responsive team leader/member. With a mindset that combines strong creative acumen with analytic based judgment, you will build and leverage best practices to enable the business to meet and/or exceed brand goals.
Direct and oversee: toplines, product kickoffs, costing, packaging review, phase reviews, TPO’s, sample planning, model approvals, Packaging approvals
Global Product Development:
Lead and hold weekly design meetings to set weekly priorities for designers
Provide samples coordination for shows, line reviews, and customer presentations
Organize CSM/Sales/Regional Marketing product briefing and bi-weekly meetings
Conduct monthly conference calls with regional Exclusives partners (EU, LAM, Asia)
Identify product opportunities based on account/channel needs
Develop an understanding of retailer product, pricing, margin and merchandising needs
Manage HDM input/workflows, age grade approvals, legal name clearances, line plan database maintenance, Powerpoint product slides, drops & delists
Sustain direct weekly communication with Sales Planning and Flow teams, to ensure product availability and capacity, and to review forecasts.
Oversee pricing/operating profit, TLP maintenance, SKU-productivity
Ensure brand continuity
Global Brand Integration:
Sustain daily communication and weekly team meetings with Global Marketing
Run product brainstorming sessions when needed
Maintain knowledge of mainline product offering (participation in line reviews, trade previews, “sneak peek’s”, etc.)
