Product Manager/Product Analyst - jr.

A small B2B product marketing team is looking for a Junior Product Manager/Product Analyst with hands on experience working in the mobile or online space and/or strong quantitative background. This person will be responsible for working with the Senior Product Developer/Manager in building out a scalable service for a mobile image product. This is a product role. However, the candidate should be tech literate. This is a reasonably visible role, for a analyst level, as our mobile capture service will have high visibility across various teams.

Responsibilities
• Document requirements from various LoBs
• Educate LoBs in the capabilities of the product
• Help define success metrics for program as a whole, and for individual implementations
• Feedback key points and issues to vendor partners
• Maintain product and program plans
• Continuously research the competitive landscape, as well as emerging technologies and vendors

Requirements
• Must be able to understand customer impacts, technology impacts, potential risks and issues
• Must have experience working with various stakeholders to get efforts onto roadmap
• Must be able to understand if proposed solutions meet requirements
• Must be numerate and metrics focused
• Must be confident in voicing opinions, even when contrary, to management level team members
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Should be inquisitive and not fearful of asking questions
• Should have understanding of end to end software development lifecycle from inception to production
• The role will primarily require working with the mobile project management, technology, UX and QA teams; as well as other stakeholders
• Work with partners to learn and share lessons, and create value from scale

Qualifications –
• 2-4 years of mobile or online software product management, project management or business analysis experience required
• Must have prior experience rolling out customer-facing web applications – mobile app experience is nice-to-have
• MUST be numerate and metrics focused
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Strong Excel skills. Experience building models a STRONG plus
• Must be proactive and willing to roll up sleeves and do what it takes
• Excellent collaboration, partnership and communication skills a must
• Ability to focus on details, but also lift up one’s head and look at the big picture.
