Product Manager| Web Analytics II

Our client is seeking a highly experience product manager/web analytics professional to drive process and data!!

General Responsibilities:

For each assigned area, define the long-term strategy and product plan that will result in improved performance including ROI.
Refine and build the product offering over time in order to achieve and maintain product leadership.
Work with internal and external customers to understand needs of all constituencies utilizing the product; document and manage customer requirements and expectations.
Primary customers include Sales and Account Management, Global Customer Service and others. Identify project stakeholders, elicit project requirements and write business specification documentation for consumption by Development Teams.
Work with Development Team through product development cycle to ensure features developed meet the desired business objectives. Work with all involved in project to ensure requirements are understood and prioritized appropriately throughout the enterprise, e.g., Development Finance, Customer Support, Marketing, Supplier Partners, and Training for the successful deployment of projects to ensure these requirements are met.

Monitor and track product feedback to help in the prioritization of development projects. Review project functional specifications to identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect requirements and work with appropriate partners to resolve. Validate projects after deployment to ensure they meet all operational and business requirements. Accountable for reporting and analysis of assigned product(s). May be accountable for P&L of assigned products Determines scope of trade-off decisions: makes resource/budget choices within projects.

Specific needs / requirements for this role:
• -Good data mining experience (e.g. experience with large data sets and writing SQL scripts)
• -Some experience with web analytics tools like Omniture
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies and how to measure results -Ability to work with a fair amount of ambiguity
– this is a new role so I need someone that can be a thought partner with me to lay out our strategy and processes for web and business analytics supporting the LX business
• Keen attention to detail
• Meeting deadlines and delivery accurate reporting is imperative.
• Selected talent will review current processes and optimize for efficiency and accuracy.
• Previous experience with the client and its data sets – would be awesome as the role will be dual in providing analytics as well. The qualified talent will tackle complex business problems by converting raw data into meaningful and actionable business insights. Based on data gathered through the Data Warehouse, web analytical tools and research and collaborate with online retail managers to determine business drivers and trends while developing recommendations for improvements.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Lead the development of forecasts and annual business plans with traffic, shoppers and conversion for multiple points of sale based on trend identification, initiatives impact, industry forecast, etc.
• Contribute to LX team's direction and strategy, and influence decision-making based on information gained from deep-dive and ad hoc analysis
• Structure analytical problems, extract and analyze data, and present findings to internal clients
• Mine databases for critical business insights and customer intelligence
• Design sophisticated analytical models and statistically-sound tests
• Provide concise recaps and key insights to the upper management.
• Provide leadership / mentorship to a small team of analysts, including thought leadership, analyses ideation, and professional development
• Proactively engage with internal business partners to assess existing and upcoming business needs and maintain regular communication on project updates Requirements and qualifications:
• 5+ years relevant experience with some experience in Web Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance or other highly-quantitative field Experience performing in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrixed, multi-initiative, and cross-functional organization
• E-commerce, travel, or consumer/retail experience a plus
• Good foundation in SQL and RDBMS technology, particularly Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions
• Solid knowledge in Web Analytics tools session / event data capture and storage logic
• Highly-developed communication skills and the ability to effectively present quantitative results and recommendations
• Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research, and presentation creation
