Product Manager (Kid's Video Games)

• Will be responsible for the management and profitability of a specific set of titles alongside the overall departmental duties and responsibilities.

• Responsible for popular toy Category Videogames – pushing as a franchise throughout the year, permanent instore space etc.

• In conjunction with the Sales Team, Business Insight and Retail Planning provide accurate sales forecasts and budget, re-forecast and monthly rolling forecast process for all titles, and monitor sales performance, highlighting implications on overall profitability.

• Create an annual promotions planner to include pricing and mechanics for New Releases and Catalogue by brand. Make recommendations on sales forecasts on a title and project basis and monitor sales performance highlighting implications on overall profitability. Organise and control post release audit to ensure on-going inventory levels are sufficient.

• Manage the sell in and marketing campaigns for all allocated franchises for New Release and Catalogue, which identify growth opportunities and achieve specific profitability objectives.

• To brief and co-ordinate as appropriate all key elements of the marketing mix including advertising, media planning, advertising creative, publicity and promotions, packaging, POS. Deliver product / packaging innovation

• To develop and present engaging and meaningful sales presentations to the sales team and customers on product releases and promotions i.e. product evangelist.

• Plan and implement cross-divisional initiatives with DVD, TV, Consumer Products teams and any other 3rd party franchise brand partners

• Work with the Trade Marketing and to plan in-store investment to drive impact. Develop an ongoing programme of cross divisional and third party promotional activity

• Manage PAP by title / franchise to ensure the correct level of investment with the right marketing mix is used to deliver budgeted results.

• Chase upsides on key properties and identify key strategic initiatives and opportunities to deliver a strong business performance.

• As part of the team, assess acquisitions for suitability. Work with the Director, Sales & Marketing, Finance team to analyse potential acquisition titles and recommend acquisition strategies

• Responsible for creating, maintaining and improving a continual relationship with EMEA both on a day to day communication basis but also reporting, systems, etc

• Responsible for creating, maintaining and improving a continual ‘top down’ relationship with the UK and Rest of Europe preferred partners e.g. communication, reporting, systems, etc

• Analysis and Management

• To undertake specific analyses, reports and presentations as directed by the Director, Sales & Marketing.

• To continually monitor market place activity and competitor initiatives

• To plan, control and monitor agreed marketing expenditure budgets under Director, Sales & Marketing supervision

• To review and evaluate all marketing campaigns

• To contribute to the annual budget process by providing relevant information and forecasts
