Product Manager III - Consumer Electronics

Our client is looking for a senior leader to run an exciting business group focused on the offline retail space. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience identifying, implementing and managing retail channels for Consumer Electronics manufacturers. We need a creative leader with exceptional judgment and the ability to deliver quickly under ambiguous circumstances.

This person will have end-to-end responsibility for product management, business development, and operations. The scope includes working with multiple teams: engineering, supply chain, device product management, marketing, field sales, public relations, legal, tax, and other cross-functional teams to create an exceptional customer experience and to drive sales.

In this role you will be responsible for:
· Maximize sales of an electronic tablet and e-reader category of devices and accessories while minimizing risks to the business.
· Hire, manage, and develop a world-class team across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hiring industry rock stars and developing future business leaders within their organization
· Defining the customer and retailer in-store experience
· Identifying feature and offering gaps and championing programs to address those issues
· Defining the technology requirements for engaging with the targeted retailers
· Balancing business needs and technical constraints while building great customer experiences.

Basic Qualifications
· A bachelor's degree is required
· 7+ years of relevant work experience in sales and retail with consumer electronics or high-tech products preferred

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have but not required)
· Proven success leading cross functional teams
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· MBA
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts.
· Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization.
