The job holder will lead strategic global brand plans within a Billion Dollar brand franchise based on consumer & Eye Care Practitioner's insights, as well as competitor analysis in conjunction with the Global - Director. Anticipate market growth opportunities and determine the markets, channels and segments to operate in. Support global commercial leadership for new product initiatives from initial project approval through to market launch. Support development of the big idea across all commercial and marketing touch-points (name, graphics, key visual, product benefit demo, digital/e-marketing, claims, package, etc.). Gain alignment with Regional stakeholders for initiative learning, validation and launch plans. Develop business plans and validate initiatives.
Skills

Analyze market trends and growth drivers (i.e. define the market from the consumer's & Eye Care Practitioner's perspective; analyze market segmentation; identify market and industry dynamics and trends etc.). Identify and develop new strategies for growth, including business case and implementation plans.
Support the Global Director in the management of brand assets to ensure achievement of brand equity goals via marketing mix including Brand Essence, Equity Development, Advertising, Positioning, Price Strategy, and make proposals for range development in conjunction with R&D and supply chain group.
Contribute to the development and implementation of consumer and professionals marketing programs across the marketing mix in line with agreed targets and strategies, to support current and incremental business needs. Coordinate the development and sharing of “best in class” marketing mix models for use across the business unit.
Lead the development of a winning consumer & Eye Care Practitioner's idea, concept, claims, key benefit and RTB visuals as well as any relevant sights & sounds cues. Work with R&D to leverage technical possibilities and understand technical trade-offs vis a vis market potential.
Partner with R&D and Regions to keep initiatives growing over a 3-5 time horizon. Define lifecycle management claims, and work with manufacturing on upgrade and obsolete plans.
Lead development of global business plans, marketing execution frameworks, and tool boxes to support market launches. Support local affiliates in their launch of new products. Work with local affiliates and supply chain to ensure accurate global forecasting of new and existing products.
Support Agency creative development of materials that enable in-country success including key signature and demo visuals, compelling benefit language and ECP message points.

Keywords
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Marketing. MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years marketing experience developing strategic plans to successfully drive growth of multiple products/Brands.
Experience in both the US experience and other countries. Regional marketing experience would be a plus.
Experience in launching “Blockbuster” Brand(s) in major Market(s) would be optimal, as would previous experience in a Global Marketing role.
A track record of successfully working with R&D
Gate-keeper marketing and/or sales and sales management experience, as well as a sound grasp of the fundamentals of marketing, marketing research, advertising, public relations, sales promotion/strategy development.
Some brand management and/or “direct to consumer” marketing experience would be optimal.
A strong track record in accurately forecasting/ meeting projected revenue and budget targets.
