Product Manager

Our client based in West London is looking for an establish Product Manager to work with them on a contract basis. They need someone to start asap. The product is Broadband so you must have good experience with launching Broadband Products, including full lifecycle (Planning Phase, Product Discovery Phase, Product Development Phase, Test Phase, Release Phase, Market Launch and on going product maintenance).

Your background will include -

• Experienced in the various skill set of Product Development, Product marketing, In-Life product Management and Operational Product Improvement
• A focus and understanding of maintaining and improving customer experience and customer journeys both through Online and Agent channels
• Track record of developing a range of tactical and strategic product or portfolio initiatives to achieve a set financial or competitive market objectives
• A history of being a managing and leading authority for one of more products – the product champion and focus of product knowledge
• Able to lead innovation and transformation objectives, developing new product portfolios and managing Board level initiatives.
• Good understanding of connectivity related issues in broadband, the challenges of churn in the industry and measures that can be employed to reduce churn
• Comprehension of the importance to reduce Opex through lowering the propensity of customers to call customer service and technical teams through improving the customer experience and connectivity journey
• Comfortable on the forefront of change, planning and executing large cross-functional projects.
• A history of improving performance through managing people, identifying customer and client needs, engaging key stakeholders and creating transformational solutions.
• Able to contextualise vision and strategy in the clear and concise scoping and product strategy documents
• Solid understand and/or appreciation of the UK dual play market and evolution of triple and quad play market dynamics (able to relate this to the client and competitors)

Skills and experience required include -

• Strong fiscal, communication and presentational capabilities.
• Building stakeholder relationships and overcoming challenges without always resorting to hierarchical support
• Self starter, delivery focused, capable, reliable – turning strategy into plans, deliverables, actions, identifying owners, getting results and reporting on the success.
• Building & managing new product/service portfolios
• Proposition development - targeting, segmentation & positioning – working with marketing and brand to create propositions
• Supporting complex project management initiatives and problem solving
• Developing & coordinating business strategy
• Delivering profit growth & operational excellence
• Technical understanding appreciation of networking connectivity, infrastructure and customer devices (Routers) including in home connectivity devices (e.g. Powerline)
