Our client is a global health and nutrition company, who have recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They are seeking an EMEA Product Manager to be responsible for 3 product categories across 36 markets overseeing and driving initiatives from concept to launch.
You will have in depth knowledge on Products: USP, ingredients and products benefits. Knowledge of food supplements will be preferable.
NPD: Build overall launch plan liaising with different departments from the concept phase to getting the product to market such as product development, positioning, pricing, forecasting, marketing communication and promotions around the launch, POS and PR.
o Work with local in country marketing teams to ensure Pan EMEA market research data is carried out in a timely manner
o Drive gathering of all product related market research across all markets (competitive pricing, competitive analysis, key ingredients and products benefits)
o Gather data to assess product feasibility on a Pan EMEA scale with EU marketing teams: build product rationale and strategic fit into the portfolio. Gather local feedback and consolidate different opinions.
o Develop product survey and ensure local demands are taken into consideration when building the pitch and the positioning for new product launches. Conduct taste testing surveys; analyse results and feedback data with suggestions and conclusions.
Management of existing skus – formula improvement and changes.
o Working closely with Brand Managers, Licensing, and Gov and Industry Affairs, drive formulation efforts through to market.
o Champion collateral support, claims, product key messages and stories via online and offline. Liaise with the markets to ensure the messaging can be used on a Pan-EU basis.
Portfolio Management by market: Be the key interface with Global Brand Management for the relevant categories and country marketing managers.
o Country specific request for product rollout: study product request, analyse feasibility and liaise with EMEA Management team for their buy in. Analyse sales data and build discontinuation plan with business rationale for country approval
Marketing graduate with European experience, preferably in nutrition supplements, ingredients or foodstuff with passion for food products and interested in Sports & fitness:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification or industry experience.
• European languages will be preferable but not a must.
• Background and relevant experience in Product Management, preferably gained within a Pan European environment
• Knowledge in supply chain, pricing, forecasting, packaging
• Strong project management skills and flexible attitude;
• Proactive, positive thinker, and goal oriented, good communicator at all levels.
• Flexible to travel demands when required
• Sound commercial awareness and good analytical skills
