Product Manager

Large Media & Entertainment company in Los Angeles is seeking a Product Manager to join their team and focus on developing new features and functions for their products.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, performance and requirements of core services that fuel a product experience and delight customers. You will drive the products, features and functionality from end to end of the product lifecycle, understanding the needs of the consumer with a firm grasp of the industry and competitive landscape. Partner with cross-functional teams from design and concept to innovate…to engineering and IT to build…to project management, customer care and operations to execute, launch and support. In this role, you will be the hub-of-the wheel across these organizations.

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for key enabling product frameworks such as search,

personalization, recommendations, content management, voice, biometrics and metadata.

 Analyze and benchmark capabilities against competitive set and develop strategies to improve performance.

 Drive business cases with associated financial projections, consumer benefits, implications and risks to

justify product roadmap and asks.

 Identify, author and maintain product requirements based on business, technical and consumer needs.

 Create products that are frameworks by nature, but can be seamlessly integrated into our client


 Collaborate hand-in-hand with product and UX/UI teams to create industry leading user experiences,

ensuring delightful experiences that are cohesive, but tailored per platform.

 Continuously evaluate and refine products per consumer lens and competitive and performance needs.

 Innovate on new product ideas to leap-frog competition.

 Validate concepts and capabilities by prototype, A/B testing to determine the appropriate features and

functionality to pursue.

 Plan and execute beta and pilot efforts.


 Technical experience with recommendation systems, content management systems and search


 In-depth experience with quantitative and qualitative research.

 Strategic and creative thinker who understands the broader vision and can formulate a cohesive plan

around that vision.

 Extensive domain knowledge in media and entertainment.

 Holds a combination of technical and business acumen.

 Solid interpersonal skills - demonstrated ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with a

broad range of individuals across different functions and levels.

 Strong communication skills – able to distill key information from different points of view, create

presentations and articulate recommendations to senior management

 Able to synthesize and articulate complex issues, see how details come together to form the bigger picture.

 Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail.

 Has the mindset of a team player who works in a collaborative, cross functional manner.

 6+ years experience in product management, consulting and/or strategy.

 College graduate, MBA preferred. Consulting background desired.
