Department Overview:

The marketing department constantly strives to create and maintain a best in class marketing function with an emphasis on lifetime value of content.
All leadership roles within the team are tasked with driving improved cross-divisional understanding, collaboration and expertise and in delivering an integrated approach to marketing content across windows.

Overview of the Role:

This is a commercial marketing role where the primary objective is to manage and implement product release plans for TV and Family Entertainment content into the Home Entertainment physical and digital retail market. Working across a diverse product portfolio of TV and Family Entertainment product, the role requires excellent communication, planning skills and the creation and implementation of creative marketing strategies across all platforms

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


• Achieve Home Entertainment product financial budgetary goals set by Marketing Managers, focusing specifically on operating contribution.

• Create and implement marketing plans for TV and Family Entertainment new release and catalogue content on physical and digital Home Entertainment formats. Plans will include: product launch strategies (inc. date, price and sales forecast), consumer advertising, retail display, packaging for physical goods, social media, cross platform communications.

• Work closely with the sales team to influence and optimise representation within traditional retailer sectors and actively drive new business channel opportunities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the catalogue team and partner marketing to drive integrated displays across a base of retail outlets, made up of Physical, On-line and Digital stores.

• P&L Management Plan and co-ordinate the budgeting, development of, and approval process for, all creative, media and promotional activity ensuring timely delivery.

Relevant Previous Work Experience

• Creation and delivery of product marketing launch plans
• P&L and budgetary management in a commercial retail sector.
• Management of franchise lifecycle plans
• Experience in the Home Entertainment business or other retail packaged goods

• Capable of leading cross divisional planning and driving big wins

• Proven ability in implementing creatively commercial ideas
• Establishes strong relationships within and between departments
• Monitors competitor and consumer intelligence to re-shape plans
• Creative, persuasive and enthusiastic – doesn’t accept no for an answer
• Takes the initiative and is risk adverse in product innovation
• A team player who forges lasting relationships with key stakeholders
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
