Position Title: Product Developer
Start Date: 2/6/17
Contract: 6 months

**Our Fortune 500 Retail Client is looking for a Product Developer for their Label & Packaging Sourcing team in New York City**

General Summary:
Support Packaging Sourcing Manager throughout the development and execution of on-garment labels and packaging. The role entails a significant amount of information management and interaction with Business Partners across the globe: Suppliers, Global Production, global buying offices and Merchandising. To be successful, key strengths should include exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, clear concise communication, and the ability to partner successfully with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Sample Development
• Source and Develop global label & packaging for Evergreen and Seasonal Programs
- Submit Sample requests to suppliers
- Sample tracking, Send and Receive samples to/from suppliers
- Sample Routing for Creative and Merchants approval
- Garment fitting to determine Packaging Structure and Size.
- Send comments/approvals to suppliers
- File sample cards in L&P library

Costing
• Request initial costing for Evergreen Packaging
- Update Costing Sheet once cost is approved by Packaging Sourcing Mgr. and Production approval
- Release costing sheet to Production and Merchant teams

PLM
• Enter new elements into PLM and communicate to Digital Production to include on final mechanicals
- Create RD# in PLM
- Check art proofs for specs, item codes and RD# and approve DP to release
- Update PLM with Approved Supplier info and final art
Artwork Release
• Distribute links to the final files, RD#s and approved Supplier’s name to all internal and external BP
- Compile artwork release e-mail distro: Suppliers, Merchants, Design, Production, GIS, Marketing
- Communicate approval status of elements in release e-mail
- Communicate additional instructions when necessary
- Share available sourcing info with Suppliers (Vendors, COO’s, in-fty dates, Quantities)

Maintain Sourcing Documents
• Update L&P Sourcing Documents in the Global Sourcing Library as needed and inform all BP
- Label & Packaging Item Codes: Log all developments in the log.
- Global Master Size Chart: Validate new additions with Tech Design, Production and Licensee. Obtain Size Translations from GIS hubs. Release once a month to all BP.
- Global Fabric Label Guide: Revise file with updates from Regulatory Compliance and release to Global nominated suppliers.
- CIT & ART - China and Asia Region Tags: Work with Marking PM and DP to revise production files with any new regulation from the China Product Integrity teams and release updates and roll out dates to Suppliers.
- Price Tickets Master Guide: Update with new Price Ticket item code, division and market.

Production
• Trouble-shoot delivery and quality issues with Suppliers.
