Product Designer

Our client is genetics based start up in San Francisco seeking a product designer that can help develop and evangelize their company. Having a clean design aesthetic is key, but knowing how to develop a product with a viable sales funnel is just as important! This role is temporary to start, but will go permanent for the right candidate, is 40 hours/week and on-site.

Responsibilities include:
Translate user needs, business goals, and technology constraints into great digital product experiences.
Go deep in UX depth and deliver strategically sound and intuitive, functional designs with strong visuals.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and scientists on defining requirements and constraints, not just translating them into designs.
Create wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity comps (and everything in between) to explore, test, and deliver great user experiences.
Iterate quickly based on design reviews, usability testing, A/B testing, and customer feedback.
Guide our diverse portfolio of partners on their own products, services, and brands.
Geek out on genetics.
Do general startup things

At a minimum, you have:
5+ years of in-house product design experience where you’ve shipped great consumer products.
Experience designing for the entire product lifecycle (not just new product launches).
Experience contributing throughout the entire design process (research through pixels).
An ability to prototype your designs.
A highly collaborative attitude and workstyle.
