A fortune 500 athletic apparel company is seeking a Product Designer to add to their team. The nature of the work is focused on the appearance of product, communications, or collateral materials. Functional Management - On a seasonal basis, and in partnership with Design functional leadership, influences and directs team seasonal workload by assigning projects to design staff and outside contractors. Provides experience and training that maintain the highest level of competency among designers. Influences project direction with Category/Product leadership team while mentoring others by sharing business and design expertise and best practices Design Execution - either personally, or through more junior designers, executes all product details including: construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim, etc. Reviews samples and clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project. Shares process and product finishing expertise across category and design group. Process/Timeline - Leads design product processes for assigned category expertise across category and design group. Process/Timeline - Leads design product processes for assigned category or product group; ensures feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines. May occasionally work across categories, products, or brands. Communication - Communicates design vision, results, and stories to a variety of audiences (primarily internal); collaborates with more senior managers to manage presentation of projects at different stages, design reviews, sales meetings, customer/client interaction, and/or adoption processes. Skill/Knowledge Development - Creates industry and technology Skill/Knowledge Development - Creates industry and technology innovations within the product design profession. Continuously advances product, process, and design skills reflective of an expert design professional. Mentors more junior Design staff; shares technical Design knowledge broadly through Design community. Leadership - In collaboration with Design Senior Manager/Director (or alone), manages design team, resources, processes, and customer/client relations to ensure project standards and timelines are met. Shares knowledge, experience, skills, and best practices with others. Effectively uses design support.

This role will help lead the roll out of key new experience for the Running community. Working closely with the Product Director, Design Leads, and Engineering team will ensure this candidate is successful as we work to deliver the best running experiences in the world.
