The Media Design Lead will be a passionate, self-motivated, creative professional willing to collaborate with other smart people to solve the toughest digital design challenges. To be successful in this role you must be comfortable designing in new and ambiguous scenarios and enjoy working across multiple teams and disciplines. A proactive approach to creative problem solving will be essential. You will be reporting to the Creative Director and working under direction of the Media Design Director to achieve the best possible creative work.

Responsibilities:

Direction and execution of user interface experiences – Console Game, mobile, tablet, web – using industry-standard toolsets (HTML/CSS, Adobe Flash, Expressions Blend)
Creation and direction of motion graphics using Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro or equivalent
Collaboration with art direction, game design, engineering and production to extend existing product lines and help push them in new and exciting directions
Collaboration with user experience, marketing, and franchise teams to establish consistent branding standards across a variety of media – games, merchandise, print
Conception and creation of visual prototypes for various applications across multiple platforms, i.e., games, mobile, tablet, web
Ability to apply brand identity systems, typography, color, and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions
Extend existing visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design changes or interpretation
Oversee the implementation of visual and UX designs by production artists and technical artists. Help them to resolve any creative or technical problems they encounter.

Requirements:

A strong portfolio of work exemplifying 5+ years of designing world-class user interface solutions
Experience working with non-deterministic user interface elements such as touch, speech, or gesture
Experience designing motion graphics while working with the rules and constraints of television media
Experience working within a fast-paced team environment
Experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams
Excellent creative vision that can be channeled and adapted to various entertainment devices
Experience designing and developing in HTML, JavaScript, Flash, or Silverlight
Deep knowledge of current design trends
Passion and drive to do more, while often working with less
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Mastery of common creative tools – Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, HTML, CSS
Basic knowledge of 3D software, i.e., Autodesk 3Ds Max or Maya
Some familiarity with game engines, i.e., Unreal, Unity
