Our internal game studio is looking for an experienced Combat Designer that will help us develop awesome player and enemy mechanics. We are looking for a Combat Designer that can help us deliver a world class game experience. If you have a have a passion for trying new things now is your chance to join our team!

REPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Senior Designer and Creative Director to understand the product’s vision and design gameplay to meet those goals.
Paper design and use internal development tools to prototype combat mechanics
Polish and balance final player character mechanics and enemy AI.
Communicate with designers, artists, programmers, producers and others to drive the player character and enemies’ vision to completion.
You should have basic understanding scripting (such as Lua or Kismet) or programming languages.
You are expected to be able to work independently as you critically evaluate the product to find ways to make it better.


Candidate Requirements:
2+ Years of AAA game development experience with at least 1 shipped title.
Has completed at least 1 development cycle in a Combat Design position.
Prior experience with 3rd Person Action games.
Prior experience with RPG Combat Design preferred.
Great communication – written and verbal.
Possesses a strong critical eye and passion to “find the fun” in the player’s experience.
Willingness to explore, iterate and collaborate on difficult problems.
Ability to think logically and structurally to create sound player mechanics and enemy logic.
Able to work by yourself or as part of a team.
Deep experience with console and/or PC gaming.
Programming knowledge/experience a plus.
