Product Analyst (Mid-Level)

Our client is looking for a Product Analyst on a contract to permanent assignment with benefits. The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to:

The Product Analyst will work closely with the business, product, and technical teams as a major contributor to the required specification deliverable's and writes the business and functional requirements including user stories.

This person should understand business processes and ensure integration between business and technology. He/she will also work closely with our UX teams in the design and refinement of the product. As the product moves from concept to development, he/she will shift to play an integral role on the Scrum team assigned to the project.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to receive hands-on mentorship from Senior Product Managers and develop his/her product management skills.


• Understand the motivation, business case and scope of a project by interacting with internal users and write product and business requirements as epics and user stories.

• Create workflow and use case documents as needed

• Work with UX teams to ensure design fits business and technical requirements

• Act as the translation layer between business users and technology teams. This requires you to be comfortable with both ‘business speak’ and ‘tech speak’.

• Work with Legal, Security and Compliance to ensure guidelines are being met

• Partner with technical teams to review and expand on the epics and user stories as part of the Scrum process

• Play a variety of roles on the Scrum Team. There will be times where you are the Product Owner or functional expert on the team.

Required Skills

• Practical experience in Agile Scrum Methodologies

• Utilize analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.

• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Rally, VersionOne, etc.

• Familiarity with design and mockup tools like Visio, Axure and Balsamiq etc.

• Comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional team

• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects

• Aptitude for learning new domains quickly

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Excellent written communication skills

• Experience in building software a plus

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information System, Business Administration or in a related technical field. Will consider additional related industry experience

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• 3+ years of experience working as a Functional, Data, Product Analyst or Business Analyst

• 3+ years writing business and functional requirements and user stories.

• 3+ years of customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation.
