Do you have a passion for helping people find what they’re searching for? Are you on top of current events, popular culture and entertainment? Can you turn ordinary words into short sparkling headlines? If so, then you may be the person we need.

We’re looking for an editorial producer to curate timely, engaging content for our browse experiences. This is an important role to help our customers get the timeliest, most relevant and most interesting information, when they want it. As an editor working on search, you’ll point users to the best results.

In this role, you will produce regular content updates, write engaging text, and work closely with a variety of partners to ensure the highest quality experience for our customers. Experience with, or a strong interest in, search is important, since this role involves knowing what people want to find and understanding how to help them find it. Choosing the right words concisely is critical.

Daily tasks include:
• Write short, engaging text that entices users to click through to great results
• Identify opportunities for new features and content based on what’s happening in the world
• Edit content written by others
• Ensure that searches lead users to quality results
• Participate in editorial reviews
• Contribute to other projects as needed
• Make photo requests and publish content daily using internal tools

Qualifications:
• Strong editorial experience working as an editor or writer in a daily Web publishing environment
• Thorough understanding of online editorial best practices and priorities, as well as excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to convey features and functions in concise meaningful words
• At least strong content knowledge in one of the following areas: entertainment, travel or shopping, preferably in entertainment/popular culture.
• Great interpersonal skills; strong partner management experience
• A sense of humor
• Ability to work with limited supervision, outside of normal business hours (most likely in the early am) and, for some part of the week, remotely.
• Proactive, organized, easily able to multitask and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented, with great follow-through
• Committed to consistently delivering quality work
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment or, as needs dictate, in an independent, autonomous role
