Content Management team is looking for a Producer to help with site production for the Living Shopping channel within one of the leading portals in the world. Candidate must have excellent production, project management and coordination skills; experience in daily content programming and production and merchandising of a web site; strong editorial judgment and analytical skills; and the ability to balance highest standards for programming and user experience with ambitious revenue (from advertising and sponsorship) objectives.

As a Producer, you must be able to handle multiple editorial and programming responsibilities concurrently, and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment. You will be expected to work closely with your co-producer and the Managing Editor on all areas of the production process for the Living Shopping channel. In addition, responsibilities include selecting and editing content to run each day; ensuring the quality of content; merchandising articles and slideshows; publishing content through in-house content submission tools; assisting in the development of the editorial calendar; working closely with high-profile content providers, freelance writers, and partners; and conceiving, as well as building, special sales packages with peer channels and the home page team.

Responsibilities include: Production of web pages. Deep knowledge of merchandising of product pages. Programming and managing content areas on the site and freelance assignments according to the editorial calendar. • Constantly troubleshooting, streamlining and prioritizing production duties to achieve the most efficient content/partner production process. • Driving content development and promotion of select site areas and features with respect to overall site business goals. • Understanding, defining, and communicating the production solutions, tradeoffs, and limitations associated with day-to-day production, priorities, and long-range planning. • Working with cross-functional groups (program managers, developers, testers, designers, etc) to implement new features and processes.

Qualified candidates should have four-plus years of online content development or project management experience, including weekly/daily web publishing and managing projects of at least one month in duration. The ideal candidate has a drive for achieving business results. The position requires excellent organizational, writing/editing, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage multiple roles, multiple projects, and multiple deadlines are a must. The ideal candidate also has a good understanding of merchandising trends and retail background if possible.. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Journalism, English or a field related to the subject area. Basic understanding of HTML required; understanding of XML desirable or content submission tools.
