Seeking qualified and highly motivated online content producer ready to program and produce site content for Music. This role encompasses production, planning and scheduling for both rich media and flat (text) editorial content. The successful candidate will contribute to site programming strategy, and will engage in partner communication and management in an environment demanding hands-on production skills and an underlying grasp of channel strategy and network business goals. Site management responsibilities will include oversight of editorial content including text and media editing, editorial calendar maintenance and long-range content planning. This position requires a balance of basic web publishing technical skills as well as an understanding of online publishing audience behavior, including experience with social network outreach and integration. The ideal candidate will be Web-savvy and already connected with emerging new media technologies. Content category expertise across entertainment is required; deeper expertise and experience with music will be highly desirable – potentially the winning differentiators. This hire should be ready to meet daily programming challenges with meticulous attention to detail, proven problem-solving skills and the ability to act and react to fast-moving business needs and opportunities, as well as confidence when confronted by critical site publishing issues and problems. The effective producer will combine the ability to make timely decisions with solid cross-group and team collaborative skills. Projects will also include cross-entertainment and special packaging initiatives.

This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, proven editorial strengths in content programming, and a broad understanding of internet publishing technologies. Five plus years in consumer-oriented web publishing or related media are required. Progressive responsibility with content development, scheduling and time management in an often fast-paced and swiftly changing environment are strongly recommended. Qualified candidates should bring significant hands-on experience with online publishing tools, including content management systems, and a high level of familiarity with computer applications. Image and video production skills are a major plus. Knowledge of XML and HTML are preferred. Editorial copy writing and editing experience are preferred, and more extensive experience as an editor, writer and/or journalist are also desirable. Familiarity with social programming is required. A bachelor’s degree in communications and/or a combination of work experience and education in related fields are desired.
