Procurement/Negotiation Specialist

Our client, a global fashion brand and retailer, is looking for a Procurement/Negotiation Specialist to join their team on a 6-month contract. (This contract has the potential to extend, and also comes with medical, dental and 401k benefits).

This position will provide support for sourcing negotiations, contract management, contract audit and contract administration activities to the Global Indirect Procurement team.

Major Responsibilities:

 This role will support sourcing activities for the primary spend categories supported by Global Indirect Procurement and more specifically as it relates to the BPO initiative.
 Advise procurement professionals, internal clients and other stakeholders at all levels regarding contract terms and conditions, including, resolving complex contractual and sourcing issues.
 Ensure consistently high quality with special attention to the effective documentation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators to mandate strong supplier performance.
 Requests for Proposals and Negotiation Plans to identify & address business risks, including financial, performance related, indemnification, export, reputational, and other risks to be mitigated in the scope of the contract negotiation.
 Conduct appropriate internal due diligence to ensure that negotiation objectives are identified and a sound negotiation strategy is formulated to meet those objectives.
 Work with sourcing professionals to ensure alignment of contract negotiation and risk mitigation strategies to category management and sourcing strategies.
 Participate in and conduct meetings with suppliers and business stakeholders to attain full understanding of requirements and gain alignment between sourcing professionals and internal business partners on requirements, risk management approach, and sourcing strategy.
 Identify process improvements to maximize internal and external customer satisfaction and accelerate supplier engagement

Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree.
 Expertise in negotiations techniques.
 Strategies to improve outcomes.
 Idea and thought Leadership.
 Connected to industry and thought leaders/resources.
 Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement (Indirect preferred).
 Proven expertise managing contracts in large, complex organizations.
 A strong working knowledge of procurement contract law and multiple procurement categories.
 Global experience preferred.
 Strong analytical, organizational and negotiation skills.
