Print Traffic Manager

We're seeking a Traffic Manager for a 3-month contract in Glendale. Candidates should be available to start ASAP!

Description:
- Traffic managers are responsible for shepherding projects through the production and approval process from job opening through to releasing files to the venders. They should know the status of their assigned jobs are at all times and be accountable for pushing them through on-time. They need to be able to effectively problem solve with appropriate partners when the inevitable snags arise in the production process.

Key duties include:
- Opening jobs and developing project schedules (using Timeworks project management tools.)
- Leading Production Input Meetings (PIMs) where approved concepts are passed off to/discussed with Production Artists/Digital Programmers/Print Producers.
- Routing (and following up on to ensure timely feedback) designs/copy/mechanicals for internal and partner approvals.
- Helping prioritize work with department managers (e.g., Business Affairs, Proofreading, Production Studios, etc.) and acting as the main point of contact for schedules.
- Checking work at each stage to ensure all changes have been made prior to moving forward.
- Maintaining up to date information on their projects in timeworks (e.g., changing schedules) and provide timely updated status reports (daily, weekly, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience and understanding of the advertising development process.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thrives in a fast paced environment and able to juggle multiple tasks and interact with/influence effectively a diverse set of partners/collaborators.
- Demonstrated capability to leverage/learn applications to aid project management (Excel, Timeworks, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
