Print Project Manager

The print project Manager’s responsibility is to get a clear understanding of the customer’s requirements for each project and translate the information into clear instructions for our production team. This position will require a solid understanding of the art-production process specific to collateral pieces. Strong communication, relationship building and organizational skills are required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Attend daily meetings with various groups within the marketing organization. Organize daily calls with the Traffic Manager to appropriately plan the work. Maintain and distribute meeting/contact reports in order to document expectations and deliverables.

* Create specific instructions for the art production team to ensure efficient execution of each project.

* Understanding creative briefs and style guides and having the ability to translate these documents into clear instructions for the art production team.

* Monitor quality, accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables to ensure client commitments are met.

* Through a strong working relationship with the customer, analyze current needs and anticipate problems, in order to eliminate potential issues.

Required Skills

* 5+ years of experience in the Premedia or Advertising industry as a Print Project Manager
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain strong and effective customer and internal relationships.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the customers needs.
* Must be proactive, collaborative, driven and seek excellence in execution of tasks.
* Complete understanding of the “Big Picture” which allows the individual to make good sound business decisions that benefit the PMT organization.
* Strong project management skills, organizational skills and time-management skills.
* Ability to problem solve, analyze potential solutions and use good sound judgment to make decisions.
* Ability to create and work with cross-functional and/or distributed “virtual” teams.
* Strong commitment to ensuring quality and exceeding customer satisfaction expectations.
* Must have the ability to work independently.
* Process knowledge in the graphic arts applications,
systems, and databases used in production including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Microsoft Office Suite and FileMaker Pro.
