Consultant POP Print Production or Print Production Specialist/Project Manager

This is not a production design role or a graphic design role. This role is best suited for a print project manager with POP experience.

Project Management System Support (50-70%)
• Experience in the deployment, training, testing and administration on an online project workflow system such as Workfront or AtTask (preferably Workfront).
• Providing project workflow system support with internal/external project stakeholders questions, concerns and issues
• Proactive in training, follow-up on training and communication of project workflow system changes
• Working with new and existing teams to make sure they are getting the best out of a project workflow system
• Developing and documenting processes as it pertains to a project workflow system
• Focusing on making sure the project workflow system vendor meets internal needs and concerns
• Possess the technical aptitude to understand, explain, and develop business and functional requirements documentation
• Working knowledge of the principles of project management methodologies and processes
• Monthly system testing within Workfront management system
• Managing the execution of projects from discovery through delivery and across multiple departments

Production Specialist (30-50%) in a supporting role

Acts as primary contact with our internal client groups, creative managers, production managers and distribution/fulfillment managers to initiate and support production schedules and deliverables, including creative release, proofing/approval, print production, to the successful execution of all multi-channel Point of Purchase / visual merchandising materials

Ensure the on-time delivery and uninterrupted flow of all produced materials to meet project requirements
Maintain centralized database for all project assets and their application in print production planning, relative to all bids, responses, cost metric data, product specifications
Support effective POP print production programs against established best practices and procedures

Identify, obtain, and manage expenses within the work group to meet budget goals and objectives

Provide training and guidance to internal creative groups, in-store merchandising agencies, and internal production specialists

Promote a collaborative environment and effective teamwork to achieve goals and objectives

Serve as an escalation point to resolve issues accordingly

Develop / maintain strategic component sourcing plan, leveraging industry-leading supplier base
Standardize project component sizes for optimal press layout resulting in efficiencies and cost savings

Integrate with Production Planning to manage the accuracy of forecasts, initial print quantities, and available inventories, advising on reprints accordingly

Advise internal creative team, creative agencies, print suppliers, and internal clients of changes in the project schedule, and realign accordingly

Offers support to all Verizon Wireless national direct, indirect, and B2B POP programs and recommends the best options to align, and integrate multiple POP print production methods and master schedules.

This position will be responsible for interfacing with internal workgroups, initiating print reorders based on the interpretation of inventory data and historical usage rates.

This position requires a production experience with a proficiency in project management.

• BA or BS degree in marketing, business administration or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years professional experience in print production, vendor management, and production planning
• 2+ years professional experience managing print production staff
• Strong interpersonal communication and articulation
• Strong budget management skills
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
• Expert MS Excel skills as well as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Project
• Ability to learn proprietary software applications
