Print Production Specialist/ Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Print Production Specialist/ Project Manager to join their team. This is someone who is super organized who can work with vendors and get collateral from different places and managing multiple moving parts. Ideal candidate cames from an agency environment or somewhere it is fast paced;

Overseeing everything from print, some product packaging, they won't have to do booth design, mainly manuals, workbooks, collateral, some promotional items years of experience; ideally 2-3 years

Someone with vendor relationship background - getting estimates, wheeling and dealing, logistics of project; need PM skills; they only have PM they have upwards of 80 projects at one time; ideally project manage those PM and own the projects that would be helpful; and then if min. enough design skills ie. change dates, and updates; know the tools enough to make minor edits to not have to pull in a designer if they can make changes and edits.

Job Description:
The Print Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing and scheduling print projects from inception to final release. This individual will have the ability to successfully partner with our team and other departments to deliver projects within budget, on time and with the highest level of quality and service.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can mange their given workload, operate well under pressure and balance priorities in a fun, results-oriented work environment. They should be forward thinking, have a great eye for detail, quality, and have extensive knowledge of format printing/sign production.

Principal Roles & Responsibilities:

Candidate will manage all print production needs, which include but are not limited to: printed materials, product packaging, signage, event booth design/production, logo item research and orders, and direct mailings.

Work closely with Event Marketing Manager and additional team members across various departments to gather job requirements/specs, disseminate needs to vendors, request vendor cost estimates, manage daily print production schedules, assist in routing vendor proofs for approvals, budget review and approval,

Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all jobs to ensure organization commitments are met.

Organize, track and record all job-related costs.
Selecting and negotiating with the best vendors to agree on best price, quality, and deadline.
Creating and managing print production schedules.
Manage multiple event ship lists simultaneously.
Examining finished samples and approving quality before delivery to client.
Reviewing, negotiating, and approving final invoices for payment.

Skills and Qualities:
Minimum 2-3 Print Production/Print Trafficking experience required
Extensive knowledge in all facets of print production including but not limited to: Prepress, preflight, offset press, digital printing, bindery, mass mail and fulfillment
Basic project management skills
Highly organized
Design experience to make edits to collateral in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
