Print Production Specialist - Direct Mail

Our healthcare client located in Burbank, CA has an immediate need for a Direct Mail - Print Production Specialist. This is a contract position working on-site at our client's location. Drug and background screening required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This role requires managing print production implementation of marketing communication collateral for multiple lines of business for direct mail production. Work with marketing personnel to execute deliverables using approved and defined processes to achieve desired results.
• Provide preliminary concept/format consultation, assist project manager with identifying project specification and scope.
• Participation at creative kick-off meeting, review of concepts/layout for implementation feasibility.
• Determine package specification, print manufacturing methods, mail file processing, bindery, personalization, mailing execution requirements.
• Generate Request for Quote (RFQ) for work requirements.
• Identify prospective vendors with the core competencies to provide the services required for the project. Request and secure bids from them.
• Perform evaluation/analysis of vendor bids and make vendor recommendation.
• Submit cost analysis and recommended vendor bid for FDA approval and signature.
• Issue Purchase Order and award work, monitor vendors service costs to approved budgets and PO. Gather all back up 3-bid purchasing documents for filing.
• Issue Change Orders as necessary for any required changes that are different than what was covered by the original PO.
• Generate production work back schedules and ensure vendor meets SLAs.
• Generate mail file data processing and letter shop instructions.
• Work cross functionally for campaign execution with the supported lines of business for strict adherence to corporate compliant and procurement standards throughout production processes.
• Manage vendor for delivery of all production stage services and products required for the project. Meet all quality standards and timelines, to include vendor proofs, data file processing reports, printing, personalization live audit sign-offs, bindery/finishing steps.
• Attend team meetings.
• Coordinate with project manager for transfer of postage funds into USPS CAPS account, and reconcile postage balance with verified USPS postal receipts.
• Ensure vendors close out jobs completely, accurately, and when we expect it to be completed.

Job Role:
--The Print Production Specialist (PPS) manages the print production implementation of marketing communication collateral for multiple lines of business (LOB).
--PPS cross functionally works with Marketing teams and LOBs to execute against developed strategies, creative briefs, product and program plans, expectations and goals to ensure that print deliverables achieve the desired results.

• 4+ years demonstrated success in print production can effectively function in this role.
• 8 + years exp. preferred

Performance Expectations of the Role:
-Provide preliminary concept/format consultation, assist Project Manager with identifying project specification and scope.
-Participation at creative kick-off meetings, review of concepts/layout for implementation feasibility.
-Determine item(s) specifications, print manufacturing methods, bindery/finishing requirements.
-Identify prospective print vendors with the core competencies to provide the services required for the project. Request and secure bids from them.
-Perform evaluation/analysis of vendor bids and make vendor recommendation.
-Issue Purchase Order and award work, monitor vendors service costs
to approved budgets and PO.
-Generate production workback schedules and ensure vendor meets SLAs.
-Ensure strict adherence to corporate compliant and print procurement standards throughout production processes.
-Manage vendor(s) for delivery of all production stage services and products required, and to ensure the project meets all quality standards and timelines.
-Supports the proper application of our client's Style Guides and Brand Standards.

Education:
--Bachelors Degree is required
