Print Production Packaging

The Production Artist will be responsible for working within the framework of a cross- functional team and performing various activities based on the below responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with graphic designers and management to implement effective product support and packaging materials.
• Create, layouts and revise company product documentation using established style guides, templates and branding guidelines.
• Coordinate and implement multi-language translations into support and packaging materials.
• Create and edit effective user-friendly black and white vector based line drawings.
• Finalize all packaging artwork, electronic files and prepare for production.
• Manipulate and track artwork layouts to conform to existing and newly developed die-
lines, copy, and/or company strategies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent related work experience.
• Background in an artwork or packaging production environment a requirement.
• Must possess good mock-up skills
• Proficient in Adobe CS suites applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Pre-press experience preparing files for print preferred.
• Understanding of aesthetic aspects of design, and attention to detail.
• Good project, archiving, and file management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Customer service skills an asset.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

WORK CONDITIONS
• Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other
devices and objects.
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with development partners,
contract manufacturers, customers, or trade shows.
