Print Production Manager

A small Design consultancy is looking for a Print Production Manager to work closely with creatives and senior management from the initial phase of reviewing requirements to the final stages of production and proof of performance. This includes assisting in internal workflow and managing the overall project.


About you:
Highly organized, strong attention to detail.
Ability to track multiple projects at a time.
Desire to learn the print production process.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Ability to understand how a mechanical is built, files are created and how to determine correct size and resolution of a file based on final usage.
Excellent communications skills.
Willingness to negotiate with vendors and external providers.

This candidate will have a track record of rolling up their sleeves and working hard to bring a project to completion. A strong desire to learn and grow professionally is required.

ROLE:

Manage production, trafficking, editorial/research, production and events timelines
Develop project timelines and deliverables for internal team, vendors and clients
Prepare and execute kick off calls for new projects
Manage client needs and expectations
Understand and ensure contractual terms and conditions
Track cost savings through negotiation and utilization of internal resources
Assemble and distribute assets including contracts, text, images, logos
Traffic all sections/stories/layouts for approvals—internal, legal, advertiser
Manage interview/comp requests from advertisers
Communicate with internal teams for media plans, asset specs, compliance issues and general info
Liaise with internal Imaging dept. for photo retouching
Transmit sections after preflighting to production specs
Manages vendors and freelancers
Oversee production and workflow of simultaneous projects to ensure timely and quality execution and advertiser and internal approvals
Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth and effective flow of project management
Develop and maintain all project deliverables including timelines, internal production schedule and contracts. Assure that projects are completed according to schedule and delivered to Ad Production on time
Oversee daily CMS content management activation processing in Nativo


You have:

Excellent verbal and written communication
Advanced knowledge of digital media production and experience with CMS (content management systems)
Acute attention to detail
Diplomacy and professionalism
Advanced experience with InDesign (and Woodwing) and Photoshop (ideally, a background in color correction) is preferred
Advanced client, customer service and vendor negotiations skills
Understanding of descriptive statistics
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience
