Advise Account, Creative and Client/Partner staff on project specifications, timing and cost factors during the creative process in order to manage their expectations and achieve the desired outcome. Manage color correction, mechanical preparation and digital pre-press vendors. Help to manage the project flow between Creative department, Studio personnel, Traffic department and Account group.

Specify jobs for competitive bidding and negotiate pricing with vendors before awarding print production and pre-press jobs to qualified low bidders. Present recommendations to Director Print Production for approval.

Requirements
This position requires extensive knowledge of color and black and white reproduction techniques, production specification/language, printing equipment, standard advertising publication specifications as well as current pre-press trends and new technologies. Due to the heavy volume of projects this individual will handle they must possess extraordinary organizational skill and the ability to juggle many details of each project at once. This position also requires individuals who maintain a cool head under pressure and the ability to coordinate with multiple people across various departments in order to adhere to deadlines and budgets.

Creative problem solving under the following conditions: heavy volume of work, extremely tight deadlines, extensive approval processes, multiple clients per project, unclear project direction, and budgetary constraints. All of the above create a pressured work environment that calls for mature, professional initiatives and reactions on a daily basis. The Production Manager must be flexible, resourceful and cooperative to succeed in meeting these hurdles.
