Print Production Graphic Designer

Working as a studio team member, the Production Graphic Designer adapts, edits and executes print designs for marketing, advertising, sales, promotional and customer care initiatives. A highly motivated print designer/production artist who understands the entertainment industry and is comfortable being part of an in-house team but understands the timelines and pressure of an agency. The Production Graphic Designer will be responsible for all stages of the production process, from mechanicals and retouching to pre-press. Must have strong knowledge of print. Photoshop retouching abilities a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have excellent InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills on very time sensitive materials.

• Work on marketing efforts including preparing art for reproduction, including but not limited to, brochures, posters, point-of-sale material, trade shows, presentations, banner ads, emails and marketing videos.

• Work in a collaborative creative marketing environment.

• Ability to handle high volume of work with strong attention to detail.

• Must be able to execute quality control on his/her own work as well as other teammates.

• Ensure that all work maintains the brand standard, while meeting business partner print requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 to 7 years of related design and/or production in marketing and/or advertising.

• Experience in entertainment marketing preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Fine or Graphic Arts or equivalent experience.

Requirements and General Skills:

• Must have a strong understanding of design and typography.

• Solid background in print, branding and production, with a good understanding of preparing files for digital and offset printing processes, ad submissions, direct mail packages and specialty out-of-home files.

• Experience working with marketing departments/clients/creative directors.

• Must have a collaborative work process.

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

• Resourceful self-starter.

• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.

• Must be able to take ownership of large projects and manage them within a fast-paced timeline.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills:

• Expert in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.

• Retouching and color correction expertise a plus.

• Acrobat Professional including digital workflow via annotations.

• Strong knowledge of printing/publishing requirements and techniques.

• Pre-press production skills.

• Knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
