A brand focused creative agency is seeking a Print Production Artist to join their team this week!

ROLE:
The role of the Production Artist is to assist the Studio Manager with the technical duties and behind-the-scenes operations necessary to maintain a seamless studio. The primary responsibility of the Production Artist is to ensure that all materials released for print are of the highest quality. The Production Artist is essential to the smooth operation of the agency and is expected to input ideas for improving workflow and other agency-wide processes. The Production Artist must forge a partnership with the production management team and foster clear and supportive communications with all other departments.

MANAGER:
Studio Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Quality control and prepare vendor-ready mechanicals and other final files for release
 Build layout guidelines documents for use by outside parties to promote consistency of creative beyond the agency’s control
 Release final materials in a cohesive manner via a variety of transmission methods
 Ensure accuracy and a high level of quality on all materials produced by the agency
 Collaborate with creative teams to understand and then promote agency vision
 Work with the studio manager to prioritize work on a daily basis
 Create support documents such as image matrices, rotations and media release plans
 Adhere to all deadlines and specifications dictated by the studio manager
 Assist with the collection, archiving and distribution of all client assets throughout creative development and after project completion
 Develop and maintain on-going mechanical templates and logos libraries
 Aid in the organization and maintenance of the proof and job jacket archive
 Attend internal, weekly post production status meetings
 Assist in the organization and maintenance of the server and hierarchies as directed
 Assist in the maintenance of all digital historical archives including high res art and other client assets as directed
 Contribute to the development of agency workflows and processes
 Create and update procedures manuals as needed
 Prepare assets needed to update agency website with seasonal work
 Attend educational seminars on new technologies in printing, color and software
 Assist in the development and maintenance of a video archive
 Support the studio manager and post production team with other technical issues and tasks as needed
 Work with the New Business team to help with developing presentation documents

JOB DESCRIPTION:
 Assist the New Business and Creative teams with printed outputs as needed; including loose lasers, basic tiling and mounting, spiral-bound & small capacity saddle-stitched books
 Support the agency in minor tasks that bridge the gap between Creative & Post Production, such as downloading & organizing client-provided assets for research, converting imagery not within the scope of Post Production, performing minor retouching for presentation purposes and making minor text edits on layouts
 Offer software support when possible (in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Bridge)
