Principal UX Designer

Our client is seeking a highly creative, energetic Principal User Experience Designer with a passion for creating intuitive and enjoyable front-end experiences for our flagship enterprise web application. As a Principal User Experience Designer, you’ll be developing the UX team and defining
what great UX means for our client. You’ll lead their UX direction in a collaborative, fast-paced agile environment, partnering closely with product management and engineering, developing ideas from product concept to launch. You’ll translate abstract business ideas and complex analytics into approachable workflows, visualizations, interactions, and solid design deliverables.

Responsibilities
ƒƒ Envision a roadmap for an innovative and holistic user experience across their software
ƒƒ Manage and lead the process of collecting feedback on idea sketches, wireframes, and implementations directly from client teams and other
stakeholders
Be a champion for users’ needs from requirements gathering through implementation
ƒƒPartner with senior stakeholders to create and maintain key UX success metrics and UX Standards
ƒƒManage and mentor a growing UX team
ƒƒCollaborate with team members (product managers, junior UX designers, and front end developers) through the entire design and development process
ƒƒTranslate complex analytic workflows into approachable, informative, and enjoyable experiences for users of a wide variety of skill levels
ƒƒDevelop user interaction and interface deliverables, including sketches, wireframes, and visual designs
ƒƒHave a flexible approach to changing priorities in an agile work environment

Qualifications:
ƒƒDemonstrated experience designing for web application user experiences (5-10 years)
ƒƒExperience building and leading a UXteam
ƒƒStrong application of interaction design principles and user experience best practices
ƒƒClear understanding of usability heuristics
ƒƒAbility to both rapidly sketch out user-flows with pencil and paper/whiteboards as well as quickly develop richer wireframes (in whichever tool you prefer)
ƒƒDemonstrated relationship building and cross-functional leadership
ƒƒExcellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage, convey, and receive
feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders with both passion and diplomacy
ƒƒAbility to juggle many projects at once while working in an innovative, fast-paced work environment
